Sweetwater Branch Inn Wedding

Sweetwater Branch Inn Wedding | Katie & Ryan

Gainesville, Fl

Sweetwater Brand Inn was the perfect venue for Katie and Ryan’s wedding day. The romantic atmosphere and gorgeous gardens made for the perfect backdrop for photos.

Katie and Ryan’s love story began when they met in Gator Band while they were both studying at the University of Florida. As their relationship grew, they discovered a mutual love for travel, music, and adventure. It was these passions which became central to the theming of their wedding at the Sweetwater Branch Inn in Gainesville, Florida.

The Sweetwater Branch Inn is located in the beautiful, historic downtown Gainesville. The fact your guests, family, and wedding party can stay at the Inn is a huge bonus for couples wanting to have their wedding at the venue. The cottages are the perfect place to get ready and spend the night after the party is over.

Katie and Ryan chose not to see each other, however they did want to do a “first touch” and read each other notes prior to the ceremony. If you choose not to see each other before the ceremony, a first touch is a great way to get some extra photos together, have a private moment to yourselves, and help relieve nerves.

The two shared their vows and said “I do” in a gorgeous outdoor setting surrounded by friends, family, and loved ones. The ceremony space featured a decorated column structure just outside the gardens. I loved this wedding for how sunny and bright their day was.

Following the ceremony, guests were invited to join the bride and groom at their reception.

The details incorporated into their day were symbolic of their relationship. Everything, from the decor to the songs played at the reception, had obvious meaning to them. They offered guests multiple ways to leave personalized notes and wishes. Specifically guests were able to sign a globe and a University of Florida drum pad.

For their first dance, Katie and Ryan chose a song by their favorite band, Twenty One Pilots. After dancing the night away, they finished the night with one last private dance and a bubble send off.
